2002 Ribbon plan for the 4-H Fair

Commemorating the 4-H Centennial

Our ribbon plan for 2002 is to use the Danish ribbons that we have in inventory from previous years and to order all new rosettes as part of commemorating the 4-H Centennial.

For 2002, we are using two styles for almost all rosettes, both feature a petal rosette center. This year's rosettes will also feature a white center streamer and gold rim center with the official 4-H clover.

The first rosette style is a petal rosette called Jefferson F223 in the 4-H Fair catalog and Beauty E223 in the Horse and Dog catalogs. It replaces the basic pleated rosette we traditionally use, the Franklin F213 or Ideal E213. We are adding a white center streamer.

The second rosette style is a combined petal over pleated rosette called Hancock 3 - F267. We are adding a white center streamer. The center streamer on the Hancock rosettes will also feature a small artwork commemorating 100 years of 4-H.

A few very special awards will use a different style of rosette. Premiere Showmanship and the new Premiere of Home Arts competitions will feature large Kennet E283 rosettes with 24 inch streamers, as shown in the Horse catalog. The High Point Rider Award for the Horse Show will be the Westbury horse sash in traditional colors, E313.
